We collect information you provide directly to us, including when you:

Create a Plenie account
Set up your freelancer or business profile
Create or send contracts and invoices
Add clients to your account
Process payments through the platform

This information may include your name, email address, phone number, business name, and billing information. It also includes the content of contracts and invoices you create, and information about the clients you manage in Plenie (such as their names, email addresses, and payment details collected on your behalf).

Client Data

When you use Plenie to send contracts or invoices to your clients, we collect information about those clients — including their names, email addresses, electronic signature data, and payment information — on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share this information with Plenie and that your clients are aware their data is being processed.

Payment Information

Payments on Plenie are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full credit card number or your clients' full payment card details on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We receive and store transaction records, amounts, and status information from Stripe.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you use our Services, we automatically collect:

Log data: browser type, pages visited, access times, referring URLs, and IP address
Device information: hardware model, operating system, and unique device identifiers
Usage data: how you interact with features, which contract templates you use, and workflow activity

How We Use Your Information

Charge the applicable $4.99 platform fee per completed payment transaction

Analyze usage patterns to improve the platform

We do not sell your personal information or your clients' personal information to third parties.

Information Sharing

We share information in the following circumstances:

Payment processors: We share necessary transaction data with Stripe to process payments on your behalf.
Electronic signature services: Signature data may be shared with our eSignature infrastructure provider to facilitate legally binding digital signatures.
Service providers: We share information with trusted vendors who help us operate the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics). These providers are contractually required to protect your data.
Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority.
Business transfers: If Plenie is acquired, merged, or sold, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Contract and transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and accounting purposes.

Children's Privacy

Plenie is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website and, where appropriate, by email.
